Why do trees look very different from bacteria, why do fish live in water and insects on land? The creatures we can see today have had many millions of years to adapt to a wide variety of habitats. While living organisms can look very different, they all have one thing in common: they all have an internal “blueprint” made of DNA. The workshop introduces you to the topics of evolution and genetics. Through games and experiments, you will learn how all living things are related to each other and how you can see the DNA of strawberries.
This workshop is offered free of charge thanks to the support of Lower Austria.
This workshop is designed for children aged 7 to 10 years. The children do not need to bring anything – everything they need will be provided on-site.
The program is family-friendly, so accompanying adults and younger siblings are warmly invited to participate actively. If younger siblings join, an accompanying adult must be present.
Please note that this program is a recurring format, with only minor changes compared to the previous semester.
