A summer full of research

What is being researched at an international research institute and how is work done there? In our VISTA Summer Campus research programs, curious young minds get to know the ISTA campus, meet scientists, visit laboratories and learn about the latest research findings in a fun way. In various workshops, pupils in different age groups from the age of 6 can experiment, research, tinker, program and experience science up close.

High school students can choose between two exciting boot camps.

Artificial intelligence is making it easier and easier to create any images, videos or texts. How do we know what content we can trust and what is fake? How do scientists do it? In the Fakebusters Bootcamp, high school students practice recognizing the difference between reliable information and fakes and finding their way in a world full of data. Games, puzzles and experiments are used. The program also includes lots of discussions and getting to know other researchers.

If you’ve always wanted to know what our brains can do, then you’ve come to the right place! At the Neuroscience Bootcamp for high school students, we get nerve cells firing, find out how our senses work – and how they can be fooled, and learn what goes on in the laboratory of brain researchers.
