In this workshop, students immerse themselves in the world of laboratory behavioral research and get to know the nematode C. elegans, an important model organism in neurobiology. Using the microscopically small worm, they carry out a simple behavioral experiment themselves and learn why researchers deliberately work “blind”. In hands-on work with micropipettes, petri dishes and microscopes, and with minds-on exercises on principles of behavioral research, they deepen their understanding of science.
This workshop is freely bookable. We are happy to accommodate your needs with regard to the time and date of the workshop!
The workshop is designed for young people aged 15-17. Students do not need to bring anything to the workshop.
