Julia Carrillo is a multidisciplinary Mexican artist with a background in mathematics and a deep fascination with the cosmos. Carrillo works with various media, including sculpture, installation, performance, and architecture—each of her works reveals insights into the invisible structures and processes of the universe.

During her time at the Institute of Science and Technology Austria, she collaborated with astrophysicists and geoscientists, exploring the diverse methods they use to observe celestial bodies and atmospheres from Earth.
