The VISTA Science Experience Center on the campus of the Institute of Science and Technology Austria (ISTA) in Klosterneuburg invites you to immerse yourself in the fascinating world of science and get to know the people and processes behind cutting-edge research.
As a visitor, you’ll experience science not as a collection of facts, but as a dynamic process shaped by questions, creativity, and collaboration. We’ll show you what happens at the frontiers of our knowledge, how new research questions arise, and how science seeks to find answers to them. From neuroscience to quantum computing. From climate research to astrophysics.
Whether you come as a family, with friends, or with your school class—here you’ll discover how tomorrow’s knowledge is created and how science strives to better understand the world and actively shape our future.
We make everything accessible to everyone. That’s why everything at the VISTA Science Experience Center is free!
The exhibition “Science in the Making – How Is Tomorrow’s Knowledge Created?” is free to visit during opening hours. Visitors can explore the interactive stations on their own and discover the various research areas of the Institute of Science and Technology Austria (ISTA).
In addition—especially on weekends—there is the opportunity to explore the exhibition on guided tours with our Science Mediators to gain deeper insights into the various exhibits. We recommend this in-depth experience, because knowledge is born through dialogue. Tours can be booked on-site or reserved in advance.
Workshops and tours are also offered regularly. Advance registration is required for these, but participation is free of charge.
