Inside a Storm: From Clouds to Code
Bety Pechacova is a cloud physicist. In her research, she explores this question: which do physical processes determine the intensity of a storm? Using theoretical and mathematical approaches, she works to better understand what happens inside clouds.
In this tour, Bety will give you a sneak peek into her research and show how computer simulations, machine learning, and physics can be combined to study how storm clouds develop and intensify. Afterwards, you will visit the interactive exhibition “Science in the Making” with her, where research can be experienced up close.
The tour with Bety Pechavoca will be held in Englisch.
This tour is part of ISTA’s program for Lange Nacht der Forschung. Find out more at langenachtderforschung.at
