An exciting outing for the whole family that sparks curiosity and inspires wonder. At the VISTA Science Experience Center, families experience science in a whole new way. Here, you’ll explore, experiment, and marvel together.
A diverse program awaits you every weekend. In interactive workshops, you’ll become researchers yourselves and learn in a playful way how new research questions arise and how science tries to find answers. Our activities are designed so that children and adults explore together—perfect for a family outing in Lower Austria or the Vienna area.
Family Rally
Exploring Science Playfully
The Family Rally is another highlight for families. It’s an interactive discovery tour through our exhibition “Science in the Making – How Tomorrow’s Knowledge Is Created.”
You’ll receive a rally map right on site, explore the exhibition together, and learn about scientific concepts in a playful way.
Afterward, you can recharge with cake, hot chocolate, and soft drinks at the VISTA Coffee Lab. You can explore the Vienna Woods on easy hikes around the VISTA Science Experience Center. The Redlingerhütte is a 20-minute walk away and offers regional delicacies as well as a small playground.
