Santiago Torres is an astrophysicist. He was one of the scientific advisers short film “Encounters in the Milky Way”, screened at the VISTA Science Experience Center in cooperation with the American Museum of Natural History.  While working at ISTA, Santiago modelled the future close encounter between the Sun and the star GJ 710 . This event is expected to shape the future of earth and the Solar System! 

In this tour Santiago will let you on how his scientific discoveries shaped the idea behind the movie ‘Encouters in the Milky Way’. Afterwards, you will visit the interactive exhibition “Science in the Making” with him, where research can be experienced up close.

Recommended for ages 12 and up. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets must be booked for all participants.
