Health as Balance – How Proteins Monitor Our Cells
In this tour, you will meet the biochemist Wanja Ehtreiber. His field of interest is structural biology. He is studying how proteins (including the ones in our body) take the shapes that allow them to function. Wanja is particularly interested in the question: how do proteins interact with genetic material, like DNA and RNA, and with each other?
During the tour, Wanja will give you a sneak peek into his research and tell you how he works towards answering these and other questions. Afterwards, you will visit the interactive exhibition “Science in the Making” with him, where research can be experienced up close.
The tour with Wanja Ehtreiber will be held in German.
This tour is part of ISTA’s program for Lange Nacht der Forschung. Find out more at langenachtderforschung.at
