A Cosmic Cinema Experience at the VISTA Science Experience Center

Looking billions of years into the past and millions of years into the future, Encounters in the Milky Way takes you on a journey through time, exploring the cosmic motions that shape our galactic neighbourhood. Narrated by Pedro Pascal in the original English version, the film reveals spectacular moments from our solar system’s past and future—from the paths of stars, comets and interstellar debris to stunning clouds of gas and dust. It also visualises, for the first time, the dramatic, ongoing merger of our galaxy with a smaller satellite galaxy.
