Experience, explore, and take part in science!

On October 3, the VISTA Science Experience Center will take part in ORF’s Long Night of Museums for the first time. From 6:00 p.m. to midnight, we invite you to immerse yourself in the world of cutting-edge research at ISTA.

Explore the interactive exhibition “Science in the Making – How Is the Knowledge of Tomorrow Created?” and discover how researchers ask questions, develop ideas, and create new knowledge. At the VISTA Lab, you can conduct experiments yourself and experience science up close. During “Meet the Scientist,” you’ll have the chance to meet ISTA researchers in person and gain fascinating insights into current research.

A journey through space and time awaits you in “Encounters in the Milky Way.” This short film takes you on a voyage through our galaxy—from our Sun to the distant reaches of the Milky Way.

And there’s even more to discover: Together with museum gugging and Klosterneuburg Abbey, Klosterneuburg will become a meeting place for science, art, and culture for one special evening. A free museum shuttle will connect all three venues with Klosterneuburg Kierling railway station.

Tickets

A regional ticket for ORF’s Long Night of Museums is available for participating museums in Lower Austria for €7. Regular tickets, valid for all participating venues, cost €19, while reduced-price tickets are €16. Admission is free for children up to the age of 12.

Advance tickets are available until September 27, 2026, via backstage.ORF.at and from all participating museums and cultural institutions. On the day of the event, tickets can also be purchased directly at participating venues.
